Registered Nurse - Community & Home Care
Part Time or Full Time - Unley

About St Louis Care

St Louis Care is a family-owned South Australian organisation that has been delivering personalised care since 1946.

We are proud to support older Australians through services including home care, residential aged care, allied health, and specialist dementia support.

Our values of dignity, choice, inclusion, and respect guide everything we do.

Swap hospital chaos for meaningful care that actually feels human.

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse craving more autonomy, flexibility, and genuine connection with the people you care for?

At St Louis Home Care, we do things differently. No rushed hospital corridors. No endless call bells. No ticking boxes at lightning speed.

Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to build real relationships, deliver high-quality clinical care, and help older South Australians stay safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes — where they genuinely want to be.

What Your Days Will Look Like

As part of our community nursing team, you’ll manage a varied caseload across metropolitan Adelaide, providing personalised, evidence-based care to older people living at home.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Clinical assessments & care planning
  • Wound care & chronic disease management
  • Medication support & health monitoring
  • Coordinating with families, GPs & allied health teams
  • Building long-term relationships with clients
  • Supporting people to live well at home

This is a role where you’ll work independently — but never alone. You’ll be backed by an experienced, supportive leadership team who genuinely understand nursing.

Who We Think Will Thrive Here

You’re probably someone who:

  • Loves delivering high-quality, relationship-based care
  • Is calm, capable, and clinically confident
  • Enjoys working autonomously in the community
  • Communicates with warmth and professionalism
  • Wants to make a real difference without burnout levels of stress

The Essentials

You’ll need:

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Strong clinical assessment & documentation skills
  • Confidence using clinical software & IT systems
  • Annual influenza vaccination

Bonus points if you have experience in:

  • Community nursing
  • Aged care or palliative care
  • Wound management & chronic condition care
  • Working independently in complex clinical settings

(We’re ideally seeking nurses with 3+ years post-grad experience.)

Why Nurses Love Working With Us

At St Louis, we value quality care over rushed visits.

That means more time with clients, stronger relationships, and the ability to actually nurse the way you were trained to.

We offer:

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Supportive and approachable leadership
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Strong clinical and admin support
  • A stable, respected South Australian organisation
  • Meaningful long-term client relationships
