St Louis Care is made up of four specialist service areas:

  • St Louis Homes – NDIS-approved provider for younger onset dementia
  • St Louis Home Care – Government-approved and private support at home care provider
  • St Louis Nursing Home – Boutique residential aged care
  • St Louis Allied Health – Covering both Metro and Fly in Fly Out (FIFO) allied health services supporting South Australian communities

 

Role: Speech Therapist - Integrated Care & FIFO Outreach

Part-Time or Full-Time

 

Are you a passionate Speech Therapist looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to truly broaden your impact? Join our dynamic Allied Health team delivering care across the full continuum, from paediatric and NDIS participants to older adults in aged care, both in metropolitan Adelaide and in remote South Australian communities through our unique fly-in fly-out (FIFO) outreach program.

 

This is a rare opportunity to expand your clinical expertise, experience diverse caseloads, and bring essential services to communities that need them most.

 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Assess and treat speech, language, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders.
  • Develop personalised therapy plans that promote independence and enhance quality of life.
  • Support clients with cognitive-communication needs related to dementia, brain injury, and neurological conditions.
  • Evaluate swallowing function, diagnose dysphagia, and create safe mealtime and swallowing strategies.
  • Provide services to clients across metropolitan Adelaide and regional/remote SA, including Home Care recipients, NDIS participants (paediatric & adult), and residents in supported independent living.
  • Educate staff and carers on safe feeding techniques and dysphagia management.

 

Essentials:

  • Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology
  • Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • National Police Clearance (within 2 years)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check
  • Valid SA driver’s licence and willingness to travel in small aircraft for FIFO outreach
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
